OEM skid plates do not effectively protect the underside of your UTV during off-road operation. With critical components like the fuel tank and hydraulic lines located above the skid plates, it's essential to have an alternative that ensures safety during off-roading. Factory UTV offers the solution with skid plates made from UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight) plastic. These skids and A-Arm guards are lighter than aluminum and provide comprehensive protection for your UTV's undercarriage.

UHMW is a tough, wear-resistant plastic with an incredibly low coefficient of friction and outstanding impact strength, outwearing carbon steel 10 to 1. Unlike aluminum, UHMW retains its original shape due to its memory feature after a significant impact, while aluminum may bend, gouge, and break. These skid plates are exceptionally durable and will safeguard your investment during off-road adventures.

UHMW Properties: UHMW is roughly 100x times denser than HMW and exponentially denser than common plastics like ABS. It has a very low friction coefficient, making it slippery in rough conditions, while offering high impact resistance and density to endure harsh environments.

Production and Testing: The skid plates are made from materials lab-tested and engineered for durability and security. They are constructed in-house and made in the USA, enduring real-world race testing through the FUTV army sponsorship program and affiliates.
