Will this kit work with my stock wheels?
Most aftermarket wheels will accept the 1/2" ARP studs without modification. For stock wheels, you may need to ream the lug holes to accommodate the larger studs. We offer a specialized stepped reamer (TPR026) for this purpose.
What is the recommended torque for the lug nuts?
We recommend a torque of 120 ft lbs for the ARP 1/2" studs with our double shear hub kit. This is a significant reduction from the stock torque, minimizing stress on your components.
Do I need to modify my hubs?
No modifications are needed for the hubs themselves. You will simply press out the stock studs, install the double shear rings, and press in the new ARP studs.
What's the difference between the 12mm and 1/2" stud options?
The 1/2" ARP studs are larger and provide increased strength and durability compared to the stock 12mm studs. The 1/2" studs also do not require any hub modification, whereas the 12mm studs may require it depending on your wheel and rotor setup.
