What to check for your setup
Match the HD model, year and cab package before ordering. Check whether the windshield opens, how it seals against your roof and whether the wiper is included or sold separately.
Coverage, airflow and the details that matter
Glass or polycarbonate?
Compare the exact product’s coating, cleaning instructions, weight and wiper compatibility. Material is one part of the choice; the vents, frame and fit on your machine matter too.
Full, half, flip or vented?
A full panel gives more front coverage. A half panel leaves the upper cab open. Vents let you adjust airflow through the panel, while flip designs open the windshield itself. Check the allowed positions and operating instructions for the model you choose.
Will it work with my roof and cage?
Match your model year, exact machine and cage first. Then check the roof, doors, mirrors and anything else near the mounting points. Send R1 a photo of your setup if you need help checking compatibility.
Is a wiper included?
Only when the selected product option says it is. Wiper-ready can mean the windshield accepts a separate kit. Check the included parts, mounting requirements and power supply before checkout.
Can I haul my UTV with the windshield installed?
Use the windshield manufacturer’s trailering instructions. Mounting systems and opening designs differ, so there is no single rule for every windshield. Check whether removal, a closed position or other preparation is required.
