UTV Wheels & Tires Guide

Wheel and tire fitment is more than matching a diameter. Bolt pattern, wheel width, offset, tire width, tire height, suspension clearance, steering clearance, and the machine's load all matter.

What should I know before ordering wheels?

  • Exact year, make, model, and trim
  • Bolt pattern
  • Wheel diameter and width
  • Wheel offset or backspacing
  • Brake and suspension clearance
  • Stud and lug-nut requirements

What should I know before ordering tires?

  • Wheel diameter
  • Recommended wheel-width range
  • Tire diameter and width
  • Load rating
  • Tread style for your terrain
  • Clearance at full steering lock and through suspension travel

Will larger tires fit my UTV?

Sometimes, but larger tires can create rubbing, steering, gearing, clutching, and clearance issues. Added tire weight and diameter can also change acceleration and the load on drivetrain components. Verify fitment for your exact machine and setup.

How does wheel offset affect fitment?

Offset changes where the wheel sits in relation to the hub. Moving the tire inward or outward can affect stance, steering feel, body clearance, suspension clearance, and bearing load. Do not assume two wheels with the same diameter and bolt pattern will fit the same way.

Which tread should I choose?

Match the tire to the terrain you actually ride: hardpack, rock, sand, mud, mixed trail, or utility use. Tread depth, carcass construction, sidewall strength, weight, and ride quality can matter as much as tread appearance.
