In 2015, Riley Erickson started R1 Industries in his basement, building LED whips alongside his best friends. Every plug was soldered by hand. Every whip was assembled with care. Those first whips set the standard for everything R1 would become.
Riley has been making and designing our whips ever since. Today, every R1 whip is still hand assembled, using premium components and the best USA-made materials we can source. Years of building, riding and testing go into the pair you put on your machine.
Our quick-release design has never changed. It works so well that it hasn’t needed to. Push, twist and go—the same proven design we continue to stand behind.

Every Pro Series kit includes:
- Two RGBW LED whips and quick-release mounts
- Bluetooth controller and RF remote
- Dual-whip wiring harness and dash rocker switch
Flags are included with the 3-foot and 4-foot pairs. The 2-foot Fatty accepts flags using the compatible 2-inch Fatty flag clips; clips and flags are sold separately.

Your colors. Your patterns. Your ride.
RF remote included. Bluetooth built in. Use the remote for quick color and pattern changes, or connect your phone with the PRO RGB app for more ways to make the lights your own. You do not need your phone to use the whips.
Make it yours in PRO RGB
- Pick your color: choose a custom shade to match your machine—red, blue, purple or your own mix.
- Change the mood: switch from a solid color to moving color-change modes, including RGB gradients.
- Dial in the brightness: turn the output down for a softer look around camp.
- Set the pace: slow the effects down for a smooth transition or speed them up for a livelier display.
- Try music mode: explore the app’s music and microphone options for sound-reactive lighting while parked.
App screens and available effects vary by app version and controller. Music features may require compatible audio and phone permissions.
Getting started: power on the whips, enable Bluetooth on your phone, open PRO RGB and connect to your controller using the supplied instructions. Make adjustments while parked.

Our whip plug is unique to R1. We are the only whip brand using this connection, and we keep using it for a simple reason: it works incredibly well.
From the plugs we hand-soldered in Riley’s basement to the whips we build today, the connection has always mattered. It is one of the details behind the confidence we put into every pair.
The electrical plug shown here connects the whip wiring. The push-and-twist quick release is the separate mounting connection.

A larger illuminated profile in a compact length. Add flags using compatible 2-inch Fatty flag clips; clips and flags are sold separately.
3-foot
A versatile length for trail and desert riding. Flags included.

Choose spring mounts for a flexible whip base, adjustable roll bar mounts to position your whips on your cage, or both. Each add-on selected on this page includes two mounts—one for each whip.

A low-profile spring base that adds flex at the mounting point while keeping your setup compact.
- Low-profile design: a compact spring between the whip base and mounting point.
- Solid-bolt construction with a black powder-coated finish.
- Designed for R1 Industries LED whips and compatible aftermarket whip bases.
Add two spring mounts: +$44 with the 3-foot pair; +$48 with the 2-foot Fatty or 4-foot pair.
Your Pro Series kit already includes quick-release mounts. On the separate spring listing, the optional “R1 bottom mount” is an additional component; it is not the spring itself.

Chupacabra Offroad clamp-on mounts let you set your whip angle on horizontal, vertical or angled cage tubing.
- 360° adjustment in 15° steps with a locking position.
- CNC-machined aluminum with a hard-anodized finish.
- Chupacabra’s four-screw tube-clamp system.
- A standard 1/2-inch mounting hole and M12 positioning screw.
Add two roll bar mounts: +$90. Choose 1.75″, 1.875″ (1-7/8″), or 2″ to match your cage tubing’s outside diameter.
Measure the tube where you will install the mounts. Check space around your roof, rear window and accessories before choosing the mounting position.
