Description
Description
Gain Tire Clearance and a Wider Polaris Stance
Black Ops Machine 1.5-inch Polaris wheel spacers move each installed wheel outward 1.5 inches. The added offset can create clearance between compatible wheels and suspension or frame components while widening the track for a more planted stance.
What problem do they solve?
Aftermarket wheels, wider tires, suspension changes, and steering angle can bring a tire too close to a shock, spring, frame member, or suspension component. These spacers move compatible wheels outward to create additional inboard clearance.
The wider track can also make a compatible machine feel more planted, but wheel spacers do not correct every rubbing or handling problem. Tire size, wheel offset, alignment, ride height, worn parts, and suspension travel still matter.

- Other vehicles only when the complete 4×156 / M12×1.5 interface is verified
Installation and safety checklist
- Inspect hubs, bearings, studs, lug nuts, and wheels before installation
- Clean mating surfaces so the spacer and wheel seat completely flat
- Confirm the original studs and nuts do not interfere with the back of the wheel
- Use the manufacturer and vehicle maker’s specified torque procedure
- Recheck torque after the initial drive and inspect it regularly
- Verify full steering lock and suspension travel without contact
- Check that the wider stance remains legal and practical for your trails or trailer
Moving the wheel outward changes leverage and scrub radius. Depending on the machine and use, that can increase steering feedback and load on wheel bearings, ball joints, studs, and other suspension components. Periodic inspection is essential.
Common questions
Are these sold individually or as a pair?
They are sold as a pair. One pair covers two wheels on one axle; a four-wheel installation requires two pairs.
How much wider will the machine be?
Each spacer moves one wheel outward 1.5 inches. Installing a pair on the same axle increases overall track width by 3 inches.
Will they stop tire rubbing?
They can help when the tire rubs an inboard suspension or frame component and 1.5 inches of outward movement provides enough clearance. They cannot fix rubbing caused elsewhere, incorrect wheel offset, excessive tire size, damaged components, or suspension setup.
Will these fit every Polaris RZR, Ranger, or General?
No. Compatibility requires a 4×156 bolt pattern and M12×1.5 thread pitch plus correct hub, stud, and wheel seating. Verify the exact year and trim before ordering.
Do they fit Pro R, Turbo R, or Xpedition?
Do not assume so. Those and other newer Polaris platforms can use 5×114.3 applications that require a different product.
Do wheel spacers affect component wear?
Any added wheel offset changes leverage on the hub and suspension. Wear depends on spacer width, wheel offset, tire size, terrain, speed, installation, and component condition. Inspect bearings, studs, ball joints, and fasteners regularly.
Can I use them with aftermarket wheels?
Only after confirming the wheel’s bolt pattern, center and seating surfaces, lug-nut style, pocket clearance, and final offset are compatible.
Do I need an alignment afterward?
Spacers do not directly change toe settings, but any rubbing or handling complaint should include an inspection of alignment, steering, bearings, and suspension condition.
