Description
The 50 Caliber Racing Universal Camlock Harness is available with 2-inch or 3-inch webbing, a 4-point or 5-point configuration, EZ-Adjust hardware, Ultra Kush padding, and nine colors or patterns.
The 50 Caliber Racing Camlock Universal Off-Road Harness combines a central camlock buckle with EZ-Adjust hardware and sewn-in Ultra Kush padding. Choose 2- or 3-inch webbing, a 4- or 5-point configuration, and one of nine colors or patterns.
Important: Each Harness Is Sold Individually
Order one harness for each seating position. Vehicle-specific seat-belt bypass plugs, mounting tabs, harness bars, and brackets are not included unless specifically shown with the selected option.
Why Choose the Camlock Harness?
- Central camlock buckle: brings the harness connection points together at one buckle for a clean, race-inspired setup.
- EZ-Adjust hardware: smooth adjusters make it easier to tighten the harness correctly for different riders.
- Ultra Kush sewn-in padding: padded shoulder and lap sections spread pressure and improve comfort during longer rides.
- 2- and 3-inch options: choose a more compact strap or wider webbing based on your seat, body size, and preference.
- 4- and 5-point configurations: choose the mounting layout supported by your seat and vehicle.
- Black anodized hardware: a clean finish that matches the Elite Series design.
- Nine colors and patterns: coordinate the restraint system with the machine without changing function.
Camlock vs. Other Harness Buckles
| Buckle Style | Best For | What to Consider |
|---|---|---|
| Camlock | Riders who want a central multi-point buckle and a race-style cockpit. | Keep the buckle clean and verify every tongue is fully engaged before riding. |
| Latch-and-Link | Simple mechanical engagement and traditional off-road use. | Takes more deliberate hand movement to connect each belt. |
| Push-Button | Frequent entry and exit with familiar automotive-style release. | Buckle design and debris resistance vary by product. |
Fitment and Mounting
This universal off-road harness is built to fit nearly every UTV, ATV, sand rail, buggy, race vehicle, and custom off-road build.
Popular applications include Polaris RZR, Ranger and General; Can-Am Maverick X3, Defender and Commander; Kawasaki Teryx and KRX; Honda Talon and Pioneer; Yamaha YXZ and Wolverine; CFMOTO ZForce and UForce; Arctic Cat Wildcat; Segway Villain; Speed UTV; and virtually every other off-road platform.
The adjustable design makes it a versatile choice for factory and custom seating configurations.
- Rear shoulder straps can be configured for compatible wraparound or bolt-in mounting locations.
- Lap belts require strong, correctly positioned mounting points.
- The 5-point version requires a dedicated lower anti-submarine-strap mount and compatible seat opening.
- Optional seat-belt bypass plugs for certain Polaris RZR and Can-Am UTV applications are sold separately.
- Do not mount belts to sheet metal, seat frames, or cage locations that are not designed to carry restraint loads.
Installation Matters as Much as the Harness
A quality harness cannot work as intended if the belt angles are wrong, the webbing is twisted, or the mounting points are weak. Follow the supplied instructions and the vehicle/seat manufacturer's mounting requirements. Shoulder belts should route cleanly through the seat without rubbing sharp edges, and all belts must be adjusted snugly across the pelvis and shoulders before the machine moves.
If you are uncertain about belt angles, anchor strength, harness-bar placement, or the fifth-point mounting location, have the system installed or inspected by an experienced off-road fabrication or race-prep shop.
What Is Included
- One 50 Caliber Racing camlock harness in the selected width, configuration, and design
- Ultra Kush sewn-in shoulder and lap padding
- EZ-Adjust hardware
- Black anodized harness hardware
Sold individually. Order two for two seats, four for four seats, and so on. Bypass plugs and vehicle-specific mounting components are sold separately unless expressly included with another product.
Inspection and Care
Inspect the complete restraint before every ride. Replace the harness if the webbing is cut, heavily abraded, melted, chemically contaminated, sun-damaged, or if the buckle or adjusters do not operate correctly. Any harness involved in a significant crash should be removed from service and evaluated according to the manufacturer's guidance.
Keep dirt and grit out of the camlock mechanism. Clean only as directed by the manufacturer; do not lubricate the buckle or expose the webbing to harsh chemicals unless the instructions specifically allow it.
Important Use Information
This harness is intended for off-road applications and is not a replacement for a DOT-approved street restraint. Do not assume it meets SFI, FIA, or a racing organization's certification requirements. If you compete, verify the required certification, belt width, mounting method, and replacement date with your sanctioning body before ordering.
Expert Answers
Will this fit my RZR, Can-Am, Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha, or CFMOTO?
It can fit many UTVs with compatible seats and properly located harness mounts, but the harness itself is not machine-specific. Confirm seat openings, belt width, mounting points, shoulder-belt routing, and bypass-plug requirements before ordering.
Should I order a 4-point or 5-point harness?
Choose the 5-point only when your seat and vehicle provide the correct lower routing and anchor point. Otherwise, use the properly installed 4-point configuration supported by your machine. More belts do not compensate for incorrect mounting geometry.
Do I need a seat-belt bypass plug?
Some UTVs use the factory buckle signal to control speed or warning systems. A compatible bypass plug may be required after removing the stock belt and is sold separately for supported applications.
How many harnesses come with my order?
One. Each camlock harness is sold individually.
Are all combinations currently available?
Availability is shown after selecting width, design, and 4- or 5-point configuration. Some combinations may be temporarily unavailable or backordered.
