Does this skid plate require A-arm guards?
This specific skid plate set does NOT include A-arm guards. They must be purchased separately if needed.
What material is the skid plate made from?
The skid plates are constructed from durable Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW), known for its exceptional impact resistance and abrasion protection.
Is installation difficult?
The skid plates are designed for a bolt-on installation and come with all necessary hardware and instructions. Basic mechanical skills are usually sufficient.
How does UHMW compare to aluminum for skid plates?
UHMW is lighter than aluminum, won't bend or dent permanently, and slides over obstacles more easily, reducing the risk of getting hung up. It's also quieter and more resistant to vibration.
These UHMW skid plates are incredibly tough. I’ve scraped them on rocks and logs, and they just keep on going. Way better than the stock plastic that came on my Ridge. Highly recommend!
