The RZR Pro XP was a landmark machine for Polaris — the first RZR with a 64" stance, a completely redesigned chassis, and Fox shocks tuned for the platform's greater capability. But even the Pro XP's factory suspension is limited by its single-rate spring. Tuned for a broad range of riders and conditions, the factory spring is always a compromise: too stiff for light riders on smooth trails, not progressive enough for big hits at speed.
A tender spring adds a softer secondary spring in series with the main coil. At low shaft speeds and small bumps, only the tender spring compresses — giving you a plush, compliant feel that lets your Fox shocks work as intended. As forces increase with bigger hits or higher speeds, the main spring engages and provides the support the Pro XP demands. The result is a suspension that finally matches the capability of the rest of the machine, with 2-3" more ride height to run the tires this platform deserves.
